Wouter Sibum, Amsterdam (NL) 1980 is an artist who makes installations, photographs and artistic interventions with special interest in context-related art. He has a fascination for public space, street furniture, spatial design and social structures. Sibum lives and works in Rotterdam and his projects are shown throughout Europe.
In July 2005 Sibum co-initiated and curated the MediumGallery and graduated from Minerva Art Academy in Groningen (NL). He participated in MFA programme 'Public Art and New Artistic Strategies' of the Bauhaus University Weimar (GER) and graduated in 2009.
Besides his own art practice he was curator/director at Hotel Maria Kapel in Hoorn [Noord-Holland], a small city above Amsterdam from 2010-2014.
Since 2019 he is enroled in the Master course Landscape Architecture @ Academy of Architecture / Amsterdam University of the Arts. As a part of the studies he has been working as a landscape designer. First at the Municipality of Rotterdam and currently at Odin Landschapsontwerpers in Diepenheim, Twente.
